Cost for the event will be $20. $15 for students with ID.
The hall will be darkened and illuminated with blacklight floodlights, color washes, and other suitable and interesting lighting effects.
There will be two 1.5 hour dance sets and a 1 hour medley with .5 hour breaks. (Recorded music will be played during the breaks)
There will be a beginner lesson at 5:30 before the evening
gets underway, but the event will be a bit intense for beginners.
If you haven't been contra dancing before, go to a regular dance somewhere to
get the idea.
Coincidentally Julie and Brendan (Double Apex) will be playing acoustic the
prior Thursday (10/20) at the regular Thursday
Night Contra Dance in Glenside PA.
Nutritious snacks (including yummy vegan ones) and water will be provided. Pot-luck snack donations will also be appreciated.
The Dance will be in a spacious church gymnasium with a lounge area and ample on-site parking.
The Church has beautiful grounds, and is .5 miles from the Willow Grove train station on the SEPTA Warminster line. The 55 Bus stops across the street.
You may want to bring folding chairs as there are no
bleachers or benches in the Gym.
Soft soled shoes only please. Also no shoes with heels smaller than 1 square
inch. (No spike heels.)
